About Us

Founded in 1952, in the heart of Sonoma County, Sebastopol Wranglers is a non-profit all breed, multi discipline, family oriented equestrian riding and driving club. We offer a variety of clinics, shows, family activities, and participate in community events.

Our Mission:

  • To promote the breeding, education and improvement, of driving and riding horses.
  • Sponsoring equestrian events under prevailing horse show rules and guidelines for the good of the Community.
  • The promotion of organized club rides, and improvement of riding skills.
  • The promotion of trails for riding throughout the Sebastopol area and Sonoma County, and the State of California.
  • The promotion of social activities and/or events for the pleasure of its members and guests.
  • The promotion of interest in riding for family groups and individual.
  • The promotion of and the perpetuation of good sportsmanship.

Barrel Racing

The Wranglers are hosting a Just 4 Fun! Barrel Race on . Open only with $25 entry. Gates open at 4:00pm. Time onlys 4:30 to 5:30 - $5. Race starts at 6:00pm. Come on out and chase those cans! Poles will follow if we get 5 or more entries - $25.

The Wranglers are very excited to host a new event this year!! We will be holding a ** POKER RIDE ** out at Lake Sonoma on . The winner will recieve $100. Additional prizes will be awarded. Lunch will be provided for the participants after the ride. We will also have a drawing for door prizes. This should be a great time, so plan to come out for a great time on the trails.

We will once more be hosting a Barrel Race at the Sonoma County Fair. Join us on July 31st for a fun time at the Fair. Time onlys start at 3:00pm, PeeWees at 5:30pm and Open at 6:00pm. Hope to see you there! Entry Form available.

Our next General Meeting will be held at 7:00pm out at the Arena.

Other Local Events

Other Information

There is still a lot of work that needs to be done at the arena. If you have some time & can help out here are a list of what needs doing:

  • mow entrance to arena
  • weed wack the grass around warm up pen
  • replace boards that have fallen down on round pen
  • clean bathrooms
  • shop for the snack shack
  • clean under oak tree in front of snack shack
  • clean picnic tables and reset them
  • mow parking lot again
  • mow behind announcers booth
  • window in announcers booth
  • electrical fixed in announcers booth

And don't forget to track your hours and report them to Kim Krattiger at membership@sebastopolwranglers.com.

Sonoma Action For Equine Rescue (SAFER)

SAFER is a local charity helping to rescue horses from bad situations or to buy horses at the local auction for later adoption. The charity also has a program to help supply hay to horse owners who want to keep their animals, but are having tough economic times.  SAFER is also always looking for more volunteers.  Please check out SAFER's HomePage for more information.

At the American Paint Horse Association, we know that your riding and driving activities are as diverse as the color patterns on the horses we register.
